What We're About
The
mission of VP is “To make followers of Jesus Christ who are committed to a
lifelong pursuit of loving God and loving people.” We believe that the primary
environment in which this happens best is in relational community. Our ministry
is focused on helping followers of Jesus Christ connect relationally with Him,
with each other, and with those who aren’t yet a part of VP or a part of God’s
family.
For
adults, these relational communities are called Life Groups. For
children & students we believe that the best environment where they
can pursue loving God and loving people is within their family. We are
committed to encourage & equip parents to grow their children to become
lovers of God and people.
But the story doesn’t end there. God has invited those of us who have experienced His love to bring it into our world and to join Him on His mission - Simply stated, “Love God, Love People.” At VP you will be encouraged and equipped to “love your neighbor as yourself.” Ultimately the church is most powerfully expressed when you and I love people in the everyday rhythm of life – at school, at work, at home, at the grocery store, etc. Our goal as a community of faith is to inspire, encourage and equip you to BE the church and to bring God’s love into your world!
