Reaching out to the people in the Philippines
The Philippines is located in south-east Asia between Indonesia & China. The population of nearly 76 million people live in a tropical marine climate & they are usually struck by five to six cyclonic storms per year.
VP is connected with two mission efforts in two very different areas of the Philippines. Kate Vander Kolk teaches at an international Christian school in the very large city of Manila. Manila is the hub of a metorpolitan area of 10 million people. Tom & Kristin Buursma with their three daughters are church planters on the more remote island of Catanduanes. The people of this island are very poor & every year they are hit by powerful typhoons which often destroy their homes & crops.
We are privileged to be part of the support team for these missionaries who have family connections to VP.
