Membership

Church "membership" should be meaningful.  It's more than just "signing papers" here or "transfering papers" from there.  Becoming a "member" of VictoryPoint is significant and strategic.  Membership at VP is relationship-based (not attendance-based) and requires a demonstration of commitment to God and to the mission of VictoryPoint.

Steps toward Membership at VictoryPoint:

Be in a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Demonstrate a commitment to the mission of VictoryPoint through active participation in a VP Service Team or Life GroupWe believe that being connected in a small relational community with other followers is so important in making followers of Jesus Christ committed to a life-long pursuit of loving God and loving others that we require a person be connected in a Life Group or Service Team before he or she can seek membership status.

Sign up and attend a Straight to the Point (STTP) informational lunch.  These events are for high school graduates and older and are offered a couple times a year (usually in the spring and fall).  STTP is your official entry into the VP membership process.  At STTP you will hear more about VP, our mission and what "membership" at VP is all about.  At the STTP gatherings you will receive a "Membership Application."  Be watching each spring and fall for info on the next STTP (in the Sunday program, eNews and on the web).  Middle and high school students can participate in a Take It Home version of this event for students called "Count Me In."

Complete and return the "Membership Application."

New members will be introduced to the church along with public profession of faith and baptisms at a future C2 Service (Commitment Celebration).

NOTE: At VP we do not do "membership by transfer."  We ask everyone seeking membership to complete the process outlined above.  If you would like to officially discontinue your membership at a previous church, it is your responsibility to contact them and make this request.
