The Central Virginia Masterworks Chorale Performs Music By Fauré and McDowall

The  Central Virginia Masterworks Chorale will perform  two concerts this weekend under the direction of  Ryan Tibbetts. The program will include Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem and Cecilia McDowall’s Stabat Mater. In between the two choral pieces, organist Daniel Stipe will play local composer Mary Beth Bennett’s “Hommage á Langlais: Song of Peace in a Time of War.”

The concerts are Friday evening (May 17th) at 7:30 p.m. in Grace Baptist Church on Dover Road (Windsor Farms neighborhood) and Sunday afternoon (May 19th) at 3:00 p.m. in Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church in Ashland.
