High school graduation, a major milestone for young people, won’t be happening this year with big ceremonies - at least, not in person. In an effort to make sure students still get a chance for recognition, Sen. Tim Kaine is asking students to write graduation speeches.

Kaine said, "We will start posting good examples on our Senate website and our Facebook, to just show off some of these students from all parts of the state."

The senator says students work hard to get to graduation day and should have a way to be recognized.

Students can submit their speeches via email.
