In a note to editorial staff, Meg Nesbitt Brennan, Vice President, Content Business Strategy and Operations, made the following announcement:
I am happy to introduce a new team member to support the work of our Content division.
Beginning next week, Jacob (Izzy) Rosen will be joining NPR as a Content Strategy Analyst. As the first of two content analysts to be hired, Izzy will be tasked with helping us create systems to look at our content in the aggregate instead of the anecdotal. He will be focused on producing data and analysis of our content mix in a timely manner for our editors, showrunners, and content leadership to review and make more informed decisions. Izzy’s first day will be Monday, November 4th. He will report to me and will be based out of our DC office.
Izzy joins NPR after serving as a Marketing Strategy Senior Analyst at UPS where he provided analytics support to improve UPS’s digital strategy, audience engagement and retention as they enhanced their digital capabilities across 200+ countries. He honed his data and analytics skills while getting an MBA at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Prior to Business School, Izzy worked in the public sector as an aide to US Senator Angus King (I-ME). Throughout the interview process, Izzy has impressed those he has met with his interest in pursuing a career in the news industry and his passion for applying his skills to support independent journalism.
Izzy is a native Washingtonian. In addition to UVA, he’s a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a degree in anthropology. Outside of work, Izzy is an avid reader, coffee obsessive and jazz lover. He enjoys running, hiking, and traveling (favorite destinations include Vietnam, Argentina and the Pyrenees).
Please join me in welcoming Izzy to NPR!
