On Monday, November 4, VPM.org’s homepage will be fully focused on election coverage. On Tuesday, VPM reporters will be reporting all day from the polls, after parties, the VPM Newsroom and other sites. We’ll have all the results for local races in Richmond (Mayor, City Council, School Board), Harrisonburg, and the state (Senate and House).
On TV at VPM PBS & YouTube
On Tuesday, November 5, VPM will broadcast PBS NewsHour all evening which will focus on the national election landscape. VPM News host Angie Miles and RVA’s Got Issues host Rich Maegher will provide live updates on Virginia elections throughout the evening. Their three-minute live updates will start at 6:57 p.m. (and continue at :57 past the hour) through 10:57 p.m. After each hourly broadcast update concludes, Angie and Rich will continue the report with extended updates live on VPM’s YouTube channel.
On the radio at 88.9 FM in Richmond, 89.1 FM in the Northern Neck, and 90.1 in Southside Virginia
VPM Radio will carry NPR’s election night coverage starting at 7:00 p.m. Twice an hour through midnight (at :15 and :35 past the hour) VPM News reporter Whitney Evans and University of Richmond professor Hank Chambers will provide live updates of Virginia election results and highlights.
