Demolition makes way way for redevelopment at former Greyhound station

After years of sitting vacant, the former Greyhound bus station along Arthur Ashe Boulevard is finally coming down. Demolition crews have begun dismantling the long-abandoned terminal, clearing the way for a major mixed-use redevelopment along the gateway into Richmond’s Diamond District.
The roughly five-acre property is poised to become one of the first major private developments to move forward alongside the broader transformation in the area.
The property is owned by New York-based Allen Investment Partners, which acquired the site earlier this year for approximately $14.9 million. The developer plans to replace the former bus terminal with a large residential and retail project that would bring hundreds of apartments and new commercial space to the corridor.
Once demolition is complete, the property will be cleared for construction of the new mixed-use development, adding another major project to the growing list of investments surrounding the Diamond District.
Local developer files plans for housing development in Innsbrook

Spy Rock Real Estate Group, a Richmond-based development firm, recently filed plans to build a 331-unit housing neighborhood in Henrico County.
The property at 4650 Cox Road would bring a mixture of townhomes and apartments to the Innsbrook area. Construction would occur in phases, starting with the initial development of a 10-acre property near the intersection of Cox Road and Sadler Place.
The second phase, which has yet to be designed, would rise on 30 acres to the south. The property itself is currently owned by Highwoods Properties, and it’s unclear whether Spy Rock is under contract to purchase the land.
The firm’s plan follows the county’s effort to add more residential density into an area that’s historically been home to office developments.
Buskey Cider founder steps aside as brewer begins its next chapter

Buskey Cider founder Will Correll is stepping back from the company’s day-to-day operations and handing leadership responsibilities to longtime employee Kevin Pusak, marking a transition for one of Richmond’s most recognizable craft beverage brands.
Pusak has been promoted to CEO and has also become a partner in the business after years of helping run operations at the cider in Scott’s Addition.
The announcement comes as Buskey approaches its 10th anniversary. Buskey opened in Scott’s Addition in 2016 and quickly became one of the neighborhood’s pioneering craft beverage producers.
While Correll is stepping away from daily management duties, he is not leaving the company entirely. He will remain involved in a strategic role, focusing on broader initiatives and long-term planning rather than operational responsibilities.
