Dana Farrington is the deputy editor for planning on NPR's Washington Desk, coordinating daily and long-term coverage for a team that reports on the White House, Congress, the Justice Department, the Supreme Court as well as politics and voting.
Prior to this role, Dana was a supervising editor for NPR's Newshub team, overseeing morning coverage for NPR.org.
From 2017 to 2021, Dana was the Washington Desk digital editor and coordinated daily stories, visual feature projects and the weekly newsletter.
Before that, she was among NPR's first engagement editors and managed the homepage for NPR.org and the main social accounts. Dana has also worked as a weekend web producer and editor, and has written on a wide range of topics for NPR, including tech and women's health.
Before joining NPR in 2011, Dana was a web producer for member station WAMU in Washington, D.C.
