Tony Gorman comes to Delaware Public Media from WABE in Atlanta.
He spent most of his journalism career as a reporter, news director, general manager, and occasional heavy metal host at various public media stations in Alaska. He also covered sports for The Valdez Star.
Tony has been honored by the Alaska Press Club and the Radio and Television Digital News Association. He was a member of the Alaska Press Club board. His work has been featured on the APRN, NPR, National Native News, and cnn.com.
The Mississippi native is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Ohio University and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. During his time in Atlanta, he worked as a fan ambassador and lead tour guide at the College Football Hall of Fame. When he’s not in the newsroom, you can find Tony cheering on his various sports teams or looking for a good game of UNO.
