Photos: K-9 Veterans Day Dog Walk

The inaugural 0.9K for K-9s Veterans Day dog walk happened Saturday morning at the Virginia War Memorial.

The event, which commemorates K-9 Veterans Day in Virginia, attracted canines of all shapes and sizes. Great Danes, pugs, bloodhounds, dachshunds, yellow labs and more mingled in the amphitheater while preparing for the walk.

The pack weaved its way around the facility and finished near the Shrine of Memory, a 22-foot-tall statue depicting a grieving woman.
