Barack Obama said Pennsylvania’s small town voters are bitter about losing jobs and that to explain their frustrations, they “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them.” Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. John McCain were quick to characterize the remarks as elitist.
