Hailing from the Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains, they’ve grown from college chums at UNC-Chapel Hill to world-class roots music innovators. With 14 studio albums and a bluegrass Grammy under their belts, they’ve proven that you can honor tradition while constantly pushing it forward.
You might know them from their celebrated, long-standing collaboration with Steve Martin, performing with symphony orchestras or headlining the biggest festivals in the country with their unmistakable sound–a driving banjo, a fiery fiddle, and those tight trademark harmonies.
The band is now comprised of Graham Sharp, Mike Guggino, Nicky Sanders, Mike Ashworth, Barrett Smith, and their newest member, singer/songwriter Aaron Burdett, himself a JAMinc In Your Ear artist from seven years ago…settle back for an hour of master storytelling and instrumental brilliance, recorded live in Hopewell’s beautiful Beacon Theater, in November of 2025.
