The Belvedere Series opens its second season this weekend with a performance in the Louis F. Ryan Recital Hall at St. Christopher's School. Their mission is "to offer an extraordinary musical experience through chamber music in unique, intimate settings, facilitating the discussion, curiosity, and bond between performing artists and audience." While virtually all of their performances are at the Marburg House, this first concert of the season will be in a bigger hall mainly to facilitate a bigger ensemble, but also to enable more concertgoers to attend.

Artistic Director and pianist Ingrid Keller joined me to discuss this season's offerings and talk about the first concert titled "Transfiguration," which is Saturday evening at 7:00pm (September 9th). She brought along cellist Carrie Bean Stute, who runs her own chamber music series in Washington, DC and will be performing Saturday evening.

I hope this peaks your interest and by the way, I will be joining Ingrid on stage Saturday evening for a pre-concert talk at 6:30pm.

Yours in good music,
Mike Goldberg
Classical Host, VPM Music
