The Richmond Symphony recently kicked off its 2024-25 season with Strad Fest, a four-day celebration of the most mysterious and coveted instruments in the orchestral world, the Stradivari violins. The upcoming season will feature performances all across central Virginia, including the Metro Series, the Pops concerts, Hardywood Classics, and of course the Symphony Series in the Carpenter Theatre.
I recently sat down with Music Director Valentina Peleggi to preview this year's Symphony Series concerts. The new season will offer iconic works such as Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5. Plus, there's an impressive slate of guest soloists and conductors. Take a listen as we tell you all about it, and make your plans today to attend some or all of these wonderful, exciting performances!
Yours in good music,
