Ready To Learn In Your Community: March Events

Ready To Learn is out and about, in your community, on a regular basis. We work to share PBS KIDS resources with children and families to engage them with fun and educational activities. Our events allow us to connect children more deeply to the PBS KIDS characters they know and trust, in order to more effectively educate them through our PBS KIDS programming and online resources. We love serving families in our RVA, Charlottesville, and Harrisonburg markets.

Coming Up In March:

RICHMOND SYMPHONY LOLLIPOPS - THE STORY OF BABAR: THE LITTLE ELEPHANT

Join us at the Richmond Symphony Lollipops, for a day of music and fun.   Visit our table, in the Rhythm Hall, at 10 am, before the show starts at 11 am.  We will be sharing PBS KIDS resources and allowing kids to try out our percussion instruments.

THE VIRGINIA DISCOVERY MUSEUM – CHARLOTTESVILLE

Join us as we read to children, gift them a book to take home with them and engage them in fun and educational activities.  Free for museum members;  cost of entrance for non-members.

A MORNING WITH CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG – PARAMOUNT THEATER, CHARLOTTESVILLE

In celebration of the 2019 Virginia Festival of the Book, join WVPT WHTJ PBS at The Paramount Theater for a morning with Clifford the Big Red Dog. This free community event includes a visit and photo opportunity with Clifford, a free book to every family in attendance, and a 30-minute video of Clifford on the big screen! Registration is recommended!  Part of the Virginia Festival of the Book.
