Media Sponsorships

As part of our mission to serve our listeners and our community, VPM provides a limited number of media sponsorships for events across Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley. This allows organizations to have their event announced on VPM’s broadcast platforms.

Sponsorships are evaluated on a quarterly basis and events must be submitted at least 8 weeks in advance for consideration.

Media Sponsorship Guidelines & Criteria

In order to be considered, events or programs must:

• Be submitted by a nonprofit organization.
• Have broad appeal and value to VPM’s audience and/or provide some service or benefit to the community, listeners and/or members.
• Align with VPM’s mission, vision and values.
• Be relevant to the geographic region served by VPM’s stations.

Priority will be given to events or programs that target a diverse population or address a community need.

Events or programs related to political candidates or organizations will not be considered. Fundraisers, such as walks, galas, auctions, etc., will not be considered.

Media sponsorships do not guarantee coverage of events by the VPM News or content production teams.

If selected for a media sponsorship, program organizers must acknowledge VPM as a media sponsor of the event in all event materials on site and online.
