Crestwood Elementary is number six on the list of schools in the past three years to see new construction. In front of school and county officials, School Board Chair Rob Thompson ticked off that list, then added:

“We’ve still got to go break some ground over at Reams next. And then Ettrick Elementary. And then next year they’ll break ground over at Magnolia Green.”

Jenny Morand has two children who attend Crestwood. They are now in modular trailers at Bon Air Elementary. Morand wishes the construction could be done quicker.

“I wish that the county could put money toward projects like this so they could be done on a faster timeline.”

Crestwood will have capacity for 750 students and is slated to open in August of 2021.
