Join Virtual Conversation on Women's Suffrage With Hillary Rodham Clinton

Poster of The Vote

One hundred years after the passage of the 19th Amendment, The Vote tells the dramatic culmination story of the hard-fought campaign waged by American women for the right to vote — a transformative cultural and political movement that resulted in the largest expansion of voting rights in U.S. history.

On Tuesday, July 7, 2:00-3:00 pm EST,  AMERICAN EXPERIENCE is hosting a virtual conversation around The Vote with special guest Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton.

For this special conversation, a panel of extraordinary women - including Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton; Michelle Ferrari, writer, producer, and director, “The Vote”; Martha S. Jones, historian, and author, Vanguard: How Black Women Broke Barriers Won the Vote and Insisted Upon Equality for All; and Elaine Weiss, author, The Woman’s Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote - are coming together to discuss the history of the women’s suffrage movement, what it reveals about the mechanics of American democracy, how it connects to other campaigns for equality, and the insight it offers to the challenges facing women and the nation today.

Stream on AMERICAN EXPERIENCE’s YouTube and Facebook platforms or register via Eventbrite to submit questions.

Watch The Vote starting July 6th on PBS.
