Circle Time at Home: "The Three Little Pigs, Part 1"

Home Learning | Circle Time at Home

"The Three Little Pigs" is a fairy tale about three pigs who build three houses of different materials. A big bad wolf blows down the first two pigs' houses, made of straw and sticks, but is not able to blow down the third pig's house made of bricks. Using their imagination, fairy tales help teach children learn how stories are developed with different characters and how conflicts are resolved. Fairy tales also help young children to begin to understand the difference between fiction and non-fiction stories. Local educators share the story using a variety of activities that focus on story prediction and comprehension with a fun look at engineering concepts in a block building experiment. An art activity helps to complete our Circle Time at Home! Grades: Preschool and Kindergarten.
