VPM News Focal Point recently brought home two additional awards for excellence in news reporting and journalism.
First, the series won the Virginia Association of Broadcasters (VAB) Award for Outstanding News Series for the episode titled “Prison Stories: Solitary Confinement.”
Focal Point was also honored with a Sigma Delta Chi Award from the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) in the category of Television Feature Reporting (Small-Market Station: 51+ market) for the segment "Descendants’ Voice at Monticello.”
