Laura Jackson is the latest Music Director candidate in town to conduct the Richmond Symphony. She will be leading the Altria Masterworks 5 program, which includes music by Tchaikovsky, Mahler and Michael Gandolfi. The orchestra will be joined by cello soloist Julian Schwarz for Tchaikovsky's Rococo Variations.
Laura stopped by our VPM studios for a chat about this weekend's performances. The concerts are Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Midlothian High School and Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. in the Carpenter Theatre at Dominion Energy Center.
