Donald Nally Talks About the Latest Projects By "The Crossing"

Photo: Becky Oehlers Photography

The Grammy-award winning choir The Crossing, led by Donald Nally, has released a new album titled "Carthage."  It features six pieces by composer James Primosch, who is the 2020 winner of The Virgil Thomson Award for Vocal Music from The American Academy of Arts and Letters.

I had the pleasure of talking with Donald Nally about this album and a couple of other recent projects that the ensemble has put together.  One is Michael Gordon's "Anonymous Man," an hour-long work scored for 24 unaccompanied voices.  The other is a new film featuring David Lang's "protect yourself from infection."  I hope you enjoy our lively discussion!

Yours in good music,
