The Virginia Arts Festival opens Friday, March 25th with weekend performances by the American Ballet Theatre. They will present their production of "Don Quixote," with the score by Ludwig Minkus. Ormsby Wilkins joined the company as Music Director in 2005 after spending extensive time with the National Ballet of Canada and The Australian Ballet. I caught up with him to discuss the touring production, which will incorporate the musicians of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra.
Performances are at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30pm and Sunday afternoon at 2:30pm. You can find out more information HERE.
