Pianist George Li is returning to Richmond to present a solo recital that will open the 2022-23 Mary Anne Rennolds Chamber Concert Series presented by VCU Music. The performance will take place in the Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall in the Singleton Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, September 11th at 3:00pm.
Li has been praised by The Washington Post for combining “staggering technical prowess, a sense of command, and depth of expression.” He appeared with the Richmond Symphony back in February, playing the Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2.
I enjoyed catching up with George and he gave us a preview of the repertoire for Sunday's concert.
