All Saints Episcopal Church in the West End of Richmond is producing Benjamin Britten's opera "Noye's Fludde"(Noah's Flood) this Saturday at 4pm. The work was completed in 1957, based on the biblical story of Noah and his Ark. It's written for a combination of professional and amateur performers, with children playing an array of animals. The audience is invited to participate in the hymns.

All Saints' Music Director Scott Hayes joined me for a discussion of how this production came together and what the audience can expect this weekend.

Yours in good music,
Mike Goldberg
