The One Voice Chorus based here in central Virginia is an intentionally integrated chorus bringing a musically diverse range of excellent choral performances to our area. Their mission states that "We are dedicated to the idea that uniting people together of different backgrounds promotes not only kindness and respect, but an embrace of those differences. By demonstrating there is so much more that unites us than divides us, we can help our community find the power in our collective strength."
The ensemble will be performing at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in downtown Richmond this Saturday afternoon, March 25th at 4pm. I had a chance to catch up with their new Artistic Director John McLean, who told me all about the repertoire for this performance and his vision for the future of the ensemble.
