The Chamber Music Society of Central Virginia will conclude its 18th concert season with a performance at the Richmond Public Library Saturday afternoon (May 13th) at 2pm. This is the second installment of a multi-year commissioning project inspired by Modest Mussorgsky’s ”Pictures at an Exhibition.” The concert will present several world premieres based on works of art and historical objects found in some of Richmond’s many museums and galleries.
I gathered Artistic Director James Wilson and the three composers (Krystal Folkestad, Benjamin Broening and Chloe Biggs) whose works will be presented on the program for a lively discussion.
