The Richmond Symphony's Metro Series continues this weekend with a program titled "The Four Seasons." The guest soloist will be violinist Keila Wakao, who was the first prize winner in the junior division of the Menuhin Competition Richmond in 2021. She will be performing two movements from Antonio Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" and two movements from Astor Piazzolla's "The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires."

I caught up with Music Director Valentina Peleggi to talk about Keila and this weekend's program. Performances are Friday evening (1/26) at 7:30pm at the Perkinson Center for the Arts & Education in Chesterfield, Saturday evening (1/27) at 7:30pm at St. Christopher's School in Richmond, and Sunday afternoon (1/28) at 3pm in Blackwell Auditorium at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland.

Yours in good music,
Mike Goldberg
