The Richmond Symphony continues their Metro Series this weekend, with concerts around the metro area Friday through Sunday. Associate Conductor Chia-Hsuan Lin will lead a program that features music by Mozart and Stravinsky, with Principal Oboist Victoria Chung performing the Oboe Concerto by Jennifer Higdon.
I had the pleasure of spending some time with Victoria on "An Hour with the Richmond Symphony." We talked about her musical background and the exciting Higdon Concerto. Performances are Friday evening, April 26th at 7:30pm in the Perkinson Center for the Arts & Education in Chesterfield, Saturday evening, April 27th at 7:30pm at St. Christopher's School in Richmond, and Sunday afternoon, April 28th at 3:00pm in Blackwell Auditorium at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland.
