While the new concert season is still nearly two months away, there are a wealth of performances for concertgoers to check out this summer. Here's a rundown of offerings through August...

Richmond Symphony Summer ChamberFest
Thursday evening concerts in Mooney Hall at Dominion Energy Center through July 31st. (please note: these concerts are currently sold out, but visit the website to put your name on the waiting list)

Wintergreen Music Festival
Take in one of the MountainTop Masterworks, a Festive Friday performance or spend a week up at Wintergreen to enjoy all of the festival's offerings. There's classical, chamber music, jazz, swing and bluegrass!

Wolf Trap
The Filene Center at Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA hosts performances all summer long, including the National Symphony Orchestra, Wolf Trap Opera, ballet, jazz and much more!

Garth Newel Music Center
Located in Bath County, the center offers summer concerts each weekend through September 1st, with performances by the Garth Newel Piano Quartet and guest ensembles, including the Parker Quartet and Three Notch'd Road, The Virginia Baroque Ensemble.

Richmond Chamber Players
Richmond's own professional chamber music organization that was founded in 1977 offers three Sunday afternoon concerts in August featuring members of the Richmond Symphony.

Virginia Symphony Orchestra
The VSO offers a number of free outdoor summer concerts across Hampton Roads and Williamsburg.
