This program presents an internationally beloved Irish band who we caught on their long way home from MerleFest in May of 2023…I Draw Slow. Like most artists during the pandemic, they were forced to put their touring days on hold while mourning the loss of loved ones to Covid. When they were able to reunite and make a new record in the mountains around Dublin, they found themselves and their music fundamentally changed. The traditional Irish and Appalachian influences they’d mainly drawn on before, would be informed by new soundscapes including 60s pop and New Orleans jazz. They continued their coming out party with us in a welcome return to In Your Ear’s intimate Studio A. JAMinc Presents…I Draw Slow.
