The Richmond Symphony opens the 2024-25 Symphony Series this weekend in the Carpenter Theatre at Dominion Energy Center. Music Director Valentina Peleggi leads the program, which features music by Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel and Igor Stravinsky. Pianist Clayton Stephenson will be the soloist, performing Ravel's Piano Concerto in G.

I recently connected with Valentina and Clayton to preview the weekend performances, which will be held Saturday evening (10/19) at 8pm and Sunday afternoon (10/20) at 3pm. We will have pre-concert talks one hour before each performance, so come early! If you are unable to make it to the concert hall, we will be broadcasting the Saturday evening concert live on VPM Music!
