Pianist Alexander Paley, one of Richmond's favorite visiting musicians, will be in town this weekend with his wife Peiwen Chen to present three concerts as part of the 2025 Alexander Paley Music Festival. They'll be joined by two principal musicians from the Richmond Symphony, concertmaster Daisuke Yamamoto and cellist Neal Cary. Concerts will be held Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30pm and Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm in the St. Luke Lutheran Church, just off Chippenham Parkway.
Alexander joined me for a discussion of the repertoire, and shared what he's been up to since his last visit to Richmond.
