This program brings you highlights from an energized homecoming concert by the completely original folk band Palmyra, that’s proudly called Richmond home for the past couple years. Two Virginians and a Texan met at James Madison University and quickly found their shared sensibility and formed the band smack in the middle of the pandemic. They’ve wasted no time building an avid following, playing MerleFest, Bristol Rhythm and Roots, winning the On the Rise competition at Floydfest and gracing the main stage at the prestigious Newport Folk Festival twice. And they captivated the sold-out In Your Ear Studio A audience in April of 2024 with their Wood Brothers-meet-the-Avett Brothers vibe.
