This weekend, the Chamber Music Society of Central Virginia continues its 20th anniversary season with two concerts. "Opus 20: Anniversary" will take place Saturday afternoon (2/15) at 2pm in the Richmond Public Library, and "Celebration" will be held Sunday afternoon (2/16) at 4pm in St. Mary's Episcopal Church on River Road.
Artistic Director James Wilson joined "Afternoon Classical" to discuss the programs. Saturday's concert includes a special arrangement of Edward Elgar's Serenade, Op. 20, while Sunday's performance will feature Felix Mendelssohn's Octet (also Op. 20) and a brand new octet composed by Richmond's Donovan Williams.
Yours in good music,
Mike Goldberg
