It was a high energy night last October 26th (2024) at Révéler Experiences when the Congolese trio Loboko came to town to share their electrifying take on soukous dance music. It’s a contagious guitar-driven derivative of the Cuban rumba that had the Carytown crowd on their feet from the first downbeat.
New York City based Loboko features young Congolese vocalist and guitar virtuoso Yohni Djungu Sungu, alongside Soukouss-Stars legend and master bassist, Ngouma Lokito. The group is rounded out by drummer and co-founder Morgan Greenstreet.
