The choirs at All Saints Episcopal Church on River Road are presenting a Good Friday performance of J.H. Maunder's "Olivet to Cavalry" under the direction of Scott Hayes. John Henry Maunder was an English composer and organist, and this is his most well-known work. Described as a sacred cantata, it basically tells the story of the crucifixion, with some original hymns and lots of drama.

Take a listen as I chat with Scott Hayes about the piece, as well as the soloists for this performance. The concert is Friday evening (4/18) at 7pm.

Yours in good music,
