Public safety comes in at almost 27-percent of the budget, with money going towards implementing a police retention plan and opening a new fire station at Magnolia Green.
The County looks to receive an additional $1.5 Million in vehicle registration fees. Coates says that money will go toward major transportation projects.
The County will hold multiple community meetings until the final public hearing on March 27. The Board of Supervisors is expected to vote on the proposed budget on April 10th.
