Richmond International Airport has a new President and CEO as of August 19th. The announcement came today from the board of the Capital Region Airport Commission.
He is Perry Miller, currently the interim CEO of the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority in Jackson, Mississippi, where he also serviced as Chief Operating Officer, responsible for fiscal management, operations, administration, and economic development initiatives.
Miller replaces Jon Mathiasen who announced his plans to retire last year after 19 years. RIC has routinely been setting records for passenger service, now at over four million a year.
It creates 16 thousand jobs and contributes 2.1 billion a year to the regional economy, according to the Virginia Department of Aviation
