Five states have declared emergencies as Dorian heads north along the Atlantic Coast, including Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina and Virginia.  Charles  Fishburne reports.

Transcript:

Charles Fishburne:  Governor Northam declared a state of emergency late yesterday, to ensure assistance is available if needed and he encouraged Virginians to take all necessary precautions.

Mike Montefusco, National Weather Service, Wakefield

Montefusco:  At this point we are looking for the potential for four to six inches across eastern Virginia, especially.

Fishburne:  And gusty winds.  As for Central Virginia:

Montefusco:  There is going to be a very tight gradient likely with respect to the rainfall across our area.  At this point we are looking for an inch or two of rainfall across the I-95 corridor potentially, just to the east.  West of 95 it will likely be more sparse, I should say.

Fishburne:  The track could change, along with the forecast.  Stay tuned for updates.  Charles Fishburne VPM News
