Wason: Voters Prefer Democrats In Four Key Virginia Senate Races.

A new Wason poll released this morning, indicates Virginia voters prefer Democrats in four key Senate district races, reflecting what they call the “Trump Bump.”  Charles Fishburne reports.

Transcript:

Charles Fishburne:  The Wason Center says aggregate responses from voters in four competitive Senate districts lean Democratic:  In the Seventh, Norfolk/Virginia Beach, the 10th, Chesterfield/Richmond, the 12th, Henrico/Hanover and the 13th, Loudoun/Prince William.

Rachel Bitecofer:  What we found is 59% of voters said they would be less likely to vote for a state senate candidate who supports President  Trump.

The Wason Center’s Rachel Bitecofer :  And 54% said they would be more likely to vote  that supports impeaching Trump.

Fishburne:  Likely voters also give Democrats a 17-point advantage in enthusiasm on both the generic ballot and legislative control tests in their most stringent model.

Bitecofer says positions on gun control, minimum wage increase and the ERA are popular among voters, including independents and skew Democratic.  The survey is based on 849 interviews of active, registered voters in Virginia October 1st through the 20th with a margin of error plus or minus 3.8 percent.
