Chesterfield County Public Schools to Implement RAVE Panic Button App for Emergency Responses

Chesterfield County Public Schools has announced a new plan to implement emergency responses.  Charles Fishburne reports.

Transcript:

It is called a RAVE Panic Button app, which will be placed on every  school-based administrator’s cell phone.

Superintendent Dr. Merv Daugherty says though they have drilled and drilled staff and students how to respond to a critical incident situation, seconds matter .

And, whether it is a medical emergency, fire or active threat in the building, notifications can be delivered through the app to the county’s emergency communications center with the simple push of a button.  The system is live now.
