Data Model for Coronavirus in Virginia Coming Soon

In today's briefing, Gov. Ralph Northam's reminded viewers that a stay-at-home order is in place, and gave updates on upcoming religious holidays, elections, and data modeling of the spread of coronavirus.

The governor encouraged voters to request and submit absentee ballots by mail. If you live alone, he said to have a neighbor witness your signature "at a safe distance." For the many upcoming religious holidays, Northam said worshipers should maintain social distancing practices. Faith leaders will provide additional guidance at the Friday briefing.

His administration also announced a collaboration with the University of Virginia on a coronavirus model for the state. This model will be available to the public in the near future, according to a spokesperson.
