Starting Monday, the Richmond City Health District will offer walk-up COVID-19 testing at some public housing communities for residents who meet the Virginia Department of Health’s testing priority guidelines. The guidelines prioritize people who are uninsured or underinsured or have underlying health conditions, like pregnancy, diabetes, or high blood pressure or who exhibits flu-like symptoms or those linked to the disease:
- fever
- cough
- shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Testing will take place at:
- Hillside Court - Monday, April 27
- Creighton Court - Tuesday, April 28
- Gilpin Court - Thursday, April 30
RHCD said that, in an effort to maintain social distancing, testing will be available by appointment only — but due to a limited testing capacity, it is not guaranteed. Since all stations will be outdoors, testing dates and locations are subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Qualifying residents can register by calling the Richmond and Henrico COVID-19 hotline at (804) 205-3501.
