  • The news is moving faster than it ever has for VPM - and for our listeners. We started this daily newscast linking up most of our local reporting under the coronavirus outbreak and are planning to continue it. Hosted by Benjamin Dolle, episodes are recorded by 2 a.m. and released for 7 a.m., Tuesday through Friday.

In today's newscast, we have more protest reports, an update on COVID-19 testing for protesters, updates from Marcus-David Peters' family, the removal of the Robert E. Lee monument - and state Republicans response, an update on a declared judicial emergency, a resolution in the case against a Charlottesville man who removed a plaque marking an auction site where enslaved people were sold, a standardized testing update, and a feature on mask usage.

  • If you have a photo that speaks to what you're experiencing right now, please  send it to us with a note about what the image means to you.
