Virginians can apply to state program to protect their ash trees
Reported by WHRO News’ Katherine Hafner
Virginia is offering to help residents pay to guard their ash trees against a dangerous pest, the emerald ash borer. It’s an invasive species originally from Asia, and it’s the most destructive forest insect to ever invade the United States.
