Youngkin condemns state health commissioner’s statements regarding racism in public health

Gov. Glenn Youngkin once again condemned comments made by Virginia Health Commissioner Colin Greene. During a recent interview with The Washington Post, Greene was dismissive of the relationship between racism and public health — contradicting a growing field of research on the subject. When asked by reporters yesterday about his plans for Greene, Youngkin said the commissioner is still employed, for now.
State budget devotes $100 million toward new lab schools

Youngkin’s proposal to extend lab-school eligibility from just four-year public universities to include community colleges, and certain private institutions. But this funding won’t be doled out overnight. That’s according to a spokesperson for the Virginia Department of Education who says the application for funds must be updated first.
Missing 2,000-pound anchor found

A 19th-century anchor was stolen from the Poquoson Museum in September. Just last week, police found and recovered it from the backyard of a house nearby. Poquoson police say they'll release more information "once charges are obtained and warrants are served."
