VDH commissioner Greene reprimanded by state health board

Virginia’s Board of Health voted to formally reprimand the state health commissioner during a meeting in Richmond. Dr. Colin Greene has been criticized for downplaying the role of racism in public health in an interview with the Washington Post.  

Del. John McGuire hosts 2020 election conspiracy film at Goochland public school

Goochland High School was set to host a free screening Thursday of a film premised on debunked claims surrounding the 2020 presidential elections. Jeremy Raley, Goochland County Public Schools superintendent, distanced his district from the event. The school district is “in no way, shape or form sponsoring this event.

Trails and tadpole tales in Shenandoah County's Seven Bends State Park

One of Virginia's newest state parks is named for the seven bends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River that flows along its western border. Governor Glenn Youngkin held an official dedication ceremony at the park last Tuesday.
