About 43 million people owe $1.7 trillion in student debt across the country.

On Wednesday, President Joe Biden announced a plan “to forgive up to $20,000 of federal student loan debt for Pell Grant recipients, and up to $10,000 for other qualifying borrowers,” according to an NPR report. A White House official said that means about 20 million people will have their student debt fully canceled.

The pause on student loan repayments also was extended through Dec. 31.

VPM News is curious about how that will impact people across the commonwealth. So, please take a moment to fill out the form below.
